During the current COVID -19 Coronavirus crisis the Parish Council are looking at ways where we can advise and look after each other.
Singleton Chat on Facebook is great for networking, however not all the community can access this.
We hope in the coming weeks to advertise and communicate via this website helpful content from villagers and internet links to websites where there is advice aplenty. There will be those still not internet savvy, do you know of anyone?
So .. which neighbours do you know? Are they ok.? Which ones close to you that you don’t know – how are they coping? Just a wave or a quick (6ft) conversation at the door maybe all that is needed.
Meantime as a start elderly residents can access ‘Silver line’ by telephone : 0800 4 70 80 90 (hrs 24/7) this is actually staffed locally, one of Esther Ranson’s extensions to Childline.
It’s not only the elderly at risk we are all concerned and in new territory…. please pass on to the council any useful ideas we could use during our ‘social distancing’ life.
