As local residents will know, the noticeboard on Mains Lane has been missing for some time now. This unfortunately fell victim to another wet winter and had to be restored.
I am glad to report that the noticeboard has now been restored and is to be replaced on Mains Lane as soon as the current road works finish. In addition to the board, a memorial bench in memory of Alderman Hannah Cummings Miller is to be placed next to the noticeboard, together with new plant tubs. This bench has been donated by Alderman Miller’s family and is to commemorate her years of service to the Parish, both on the Parish Council and the Borough Council, including being a former Mayor of the Borough.
The Parish Council looks forward to completing this work as quickly as possible.
