The Parish Council has become increasingly concerned about the number of speeding motorcycles through the village at weekends and has enlisted the support of Inspector Susan Horn of the Police. The Police are running a “bike watch” operation in coming weeks and Singleton has been added to their list.
Reports have been received about riders not even slowing down when approaching the roundabout and the Parish Council fears that someone will be seriously hurt before long. It is hoped that the intervention by the Police will deter motorbike riders from speeding through the village in the future.
