Lancashire County Council has issued a Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic order 2023 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic as follows: –
No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the length of Fairfield Road, Poulton-le-Fylde for 20 metres either side of Singleton Station Bridge.
The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours until 1600 hours on Sunday 11 June 2023 or until completion of the works within this period.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via –
B5260 Lodge Lane – A586 Garstang Road – Hardhorn Road
B5266 Hardhorn Road – B5266 Fairfield Road and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow a bridge examination to be carried out by Network Rail.
