Increase in retrospective plans causes concerns

Increase in retrospective plans causes concerns

SINGLETON councillors have once again expressed concerns about the increasing number of planning applications that are retrospective, where property owners are presumably hoping their plans will be pushed through simply because the work is done.

However, retrospectives are more likely to be objected to, with requests made to Fylde Borough Council to take action, councillors agreed.

The comments were made at the last meeting of the parish council, held at the Church Vestry on Thursday, 18th November 2010.

Funds paid in
COUNCILLORS were delighted to hear that £3,000 from the Parish Fund Review had already been paid into our bank account. The money will go towards Lancashire County Council’s charges for closing the Lodge Lane layby.

Christmas cards
SO POPULAR were our cards last year that we are printing some more this year, once again using a painting by Marjorie Smith. Some 450 cards are to printed, sponsored by a number of  local firms and organisations.

Next meeting
OUR last meeting of the year is to be on 16th December 2010, in the Church vestry as usual, and starting at 7.30pm, as usual. All are welcome.
