NOTICE OF ELECTION

FYLDE BOROUGH COUNCIL – ELECTION OF COUNCILLORS

Singleton has 5 councillors to be elected.

Elections will take place on Thursday 4 May 2023.

Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at Town Hall, Lytham St. Annes, FY8 1LW between 10 am and 4 pm on any working day but no later than 4pm on 4 April 2023.

Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Town Hall, Lytham St. Annes FY8 1LW during the times stated above.

Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration officer by 12 midnight on 17 April 2023. Applications can be made on-line at https:/www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Town hall, Lytham St. Annes. FY8 1LW by 5 pm on 18 April 2023.

Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on 25 April 2023. Applications can be made on-line at https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate

Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Town Hall, Lytham St. Annes FY8 1LW by 5 pm on 25 April 2023.

Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Town Hall, Lytham St. Annes FY8 1LW by 5pm on Thursday 4 May 2023.

As you may be aware, the UK Government has introduced a requirement for voters to show photo ID when voting at a polling station at elections. This new requirement will apply for the first time in England at the local elections on Thursday 4 May 2023.
